Excelerate Energy, The Woodlands, TX

Excelerate Energy is a private company that was formed in 2003 to pursue new LNG importation alternatives into the United States and around the world, and operates the only deepwater LNG port in the world. Excelerate’s second deepwater LNG port, Northeast Gateway, will be located offshore in Massachusetts Bay, approximately 13 miles southeast of the city of Gloucester, Massachusetts in federal waters and will deliver regasified LNG to onshore markets via a new 24-inch pipeline lateral approximately 16.4 miles in length to be constructed, owned, and operated by Algonquin Gas Transmission, LLC. This pipeline lateral will connect to the existing HubLine Pipeline System that traverses Massachusetts Bay and integrates with the New England natural gas grid, allowing Northeast Gateway to deliver an average of 400 million cubic feet per day (MMcf/d) of natural gas with a peak send out of 800 MMcfd. The Northeast Gateway Project is scheduled to be operational in December, 2007. Additional information on this project is available at www.northeastgateway.com. The Renewable Energy Trust seeks to maximize environmental and economic benefits for Massachusetts citizens by pioneering and promoting clean energy technologies and fostering the emergence of sustainable markets for electricity generated from renewable sources. The Trust provides financial assistance to individuals and businesses for solar panels and wind turbines at their homes and facilities, works with communities to incorporate green design into schools, helps emerging clean energy businesses flourish in the Commonwealth,and much more. Durand & Anastas worked with The Rendon Group to provide public outreach and education services for renewable energy.



MWRA Advisory Board, Boston, MA

The MWRA Advisory Board was created by the Legislature to represent the interests of MWRA service area communities in the 1984 Enabling Act that established the MWRA. Its members include: the chief elected official and a designee from each of the 60 cities and towns; a member of the Metropolitan Area Planning Council; and six gubernatorial appointees representing various interests. The Advisory Board reviews and comments on MWRA capital and current expense budgets, as well as MWRA practices and policies. Durand & Anastas provided legislative services to secure matching funds for 51 communities in the MWRA district

Water Transportation Alternatives, Quincy, MA

Water Transportation Alternatives (WTA) operates Boston Harbor's largest fleet of high-speed catamarans, including the MBTA Harbor Express, connecting Quincy, Hull, Boston, and Logan Airport; the New England Aquarium Whale Watch; high-speed ferry service to the Boston Harbor Islands; and the Salem Ferry, with direct express service from downtown Salem to downtown Boston. Durand & Anastas develops environmental, community outreach, and funding strategies for each of WTA’s marine services.



 

Wayside Youth & Family Support Network
